Welcome to the East Riding Pension Fund (ERPF) Online Service. The ERPF Online Service is a secure and acceptable method of transferring Scheme members’ personal data.
The ERPF is responsible for the administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and collects and holds information about Scheme members in our capacity as data controller. Most of the personal data we collect is provided by the Scheme employer. The information we ask for is normally mandatory and the ERPF has a legal obligation and statutory duty to use this information to provide Scheme members with information about their pension entitlement under a number of regulations, including the LGPS Regulations 2013.
The ERPF privacy notice, which outlines what data is collected and processed and for what purpose, is available on our website here
The Scheme employer, as a Data Controller, must ensure that all authorised users who process Scheme members’ personal data, using the ERPF online service, are fully aware of their legal responsibilities and are processing data in line with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 2018, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and only deal with the data to fulfil the statutory obligations under the LGPS Regulations 2013 and any overriding legislation.
The Scheme employer accepts that they will be held responsible for any misuse of personal data or misconduct of an authorised user and will ensure the ERPF Online Service is used in accordance with the user agreement and Memorandum of Understanding which can be accessed here.
Any amendments made to a Scheme member personal data will be held on the member record and will be viewable and editable by any other authorised user of that Scheme employer, current and future.
The ERPF Online Service allows the authorised user for a Scheme employer to:
• View the Scheme member data held on the ERPF administration system for the employees who actively contribute to the LGPS.
• Submit changes to the Scheme member’s personal data directly to the ERPF.
• Complete and submit pension administration forms directly to the ERPF.
• View appropriate documentation that you have sent to the ERPF or that the ERPF has sent to you.
• Run pension calculations for Scheme members to estimate any strain costs that may be applicable for early retirement.
Please note: Any pension calculations processed by a Scheme employer are intended to be used as a guide only. Before making a final decision on whether to allow a Scheme member to retire with a strain cost, it is advised that the Scheme employer contacts the ERPF so that the quotation can be checked. The ERPF does not accept any responsibility over incorrect quotations being used to allow a Scheme member to retire if it has not been checked.
